Track Attack info for Knox Members

2 Jan 2019 by Miriam Cormack

Happy New Year Crocs!

Grab your cuppa – lots of info coming at you.

First things first a bit of housekeeping to make our lives easier….

Our committee is made up of volunteers and we use various digital tools to manage running the club in a time effective manner. One of the tools we use to manage rosters is Google Sheets which enables multiple users to edit a spreadsheet online in real time. Most of our members now access our communication on Smart phones so please take a moment now to download the Google Sheets App for your phone to enable you to access them.

Now on to the good stuff….

2019 kicks off with a bang as Eastern Region hosts the amazing Track Attack Series – 6 races over 9 days is a fantastic way for our riders to get back into the swing of things in the lead up to the Nationals in Shepparton.

The Track Attack series is open to all riders and we encourage everyone, especially our new riders, to attend at least a couple of rounds if not all. It’s a great opportunity to visit lots of tracks and for new riders to develop friendships.

Enter Track Attack here before 8/1/19 http://bit.ly/TrackAttack2019

TRACK ATTACK @ KNOX ROSTER

There are lots of jobs that need doing so we can run our event – you will still get to see racing so pop your name down and help us make our event run smoothly and be profitable.

TRACK ATTACK – ALL THE OTHER ROUNDS

As you know the weather is very hot in January so we need to set up a super sized swamp to keep all the Crocs cool. We encourage all of our riders to sit together with their fellow club members in the swamp, it’s a great social atmosphere.

HELP NEEDED – Our committee members are heavily involved in running the events that make up Track Attack so we need your help to transport the swamp.

We need a Swamp Coordinator to keep track of the tents and make sure they have transport to the next round and we need transport for 4 tents to each round. All the clubs will allocate a spot for us so there’s no need to be at each round any earlier than usual. Everyone chips in to put up and pack up the tents – it only takes about 10 minutes.

Please email info@knoxbmx.com.au if you can fill the role of Swamp Coordinator.

If you can transport a tent or two please fill in the roster http://bit.ly/TA2091swampsetup

OFFICIALS NEEDED

We need to supply officials to help run each of the 6 rounds, many hands make light work. We need people to work in Staging, Scoring ( learn the new Sqorz system – easy peasy), Berms, Gate Check. Please email info@knoxbmx.com.au if you would like to official. Level 1 or Level 2 are required to be an official . You can complete the level 1 course online http://bit.ly/bmxaofficialquiz

Looking forward to seeing you at the track soon!
